A Montpelier Cape Cod Makeover
A total renovation and makeover for this home required planning a care, including refinishing hardwoods on the main level and installing new carpet on the upper level and main level bedrooms. All new windows were supplied and installed, including the large bay window in the cosy, living room with wood-burning fireplace. A tired and worn kitchen was completely revamped and updated with GE stainless steel appliances, brand new 42″ cabinets and granite counter tops, and fresh paint. All three bathrooms sport modern finishes, and make this home new again. A mudroom with a utility area provides space for a washer and dryer. Situated on one of the larger lots in the neighborhood, this home also features an attached, two-car garage and generous driveway providing ample parking for this updated home renovated for modern living.
A Glimpse of Start to Finish…
This home had been vacant and un-cared for over a year when we started this project. It was dark and gloomy with very little natural light and loads of original, outdated fixtures and cracked, peeling paint. The project started with removing debris and outdated appliances, before prepping the walls for paint, and finalizing the kitchen renovation plans. Paint colors, flooring installation, and a new kitchen layout offered a better use of space of modern, family living. New fixtures for each bathroom included toilets, vanities, faucets, and flooring.
